Here at Póg we are delighted to be part of the #MadeLocal campaign. With over 1,400 amazing makers and shops nationwide taking part in this fantastic initiative.
The #MADELOCAL campaign was created by the Design and Crafts Council Ireland to support Ireland's design and craft sector. The campaign celebrates all of Irish creativity and aims to inspire consumers, makers, stores and media to celebrate all of the wonderful Irish creativity we have on this Island.
Research conducted by DCCI shared that 90% of Irish consumers have an affinity with Irish craft for its authentic design and skill.
Now more than ever it is critical to support our local small Irish businesses. Business all over the globe have struggled greatly over the past 15 months.They needed to completely adapt their business and change how they operate. Support from the local community is what will keep our fantastic local businesses going and it also creates job opportunities for the public.
Consumers will see the newly designed Made Local symbol in participating retailers. The Made Local campaign will continue to run throughout the summer.
